2008 Volunteers! (Americorps See Below!)

Families, couples or singles wanting to settle in a holistic lifestyle that actually makes sense are encouraged to contact us. Lifesharing means you share your home and life with friends with special needs while contributing your skills to the joint economy of the community. We have young people with special needs whose future depends on your choices!Come talk to us! (Americorps is available)

Short term (3 months to a year). Join our life sharing with responsibility and on the job training in agriculture and/or crafts. Americorps Education Grants are available for 1yr commitments ($4,725 for accredited school loans or future education at an accredited institution)

Summer interns: to learn about CSA, intentional community, organic farming and gardening. Room, board and friendship provided! Part time (aprox $1,000) Americorps grants available for summer volunteers.

We have no residential special needs spaces forseeably open in 2008. We hope for new developments!

We do have a waiting "pool" (list) and we encourage those with special needs to contact us. An initial visit will be scheduled, for us all to find out more about each other. After this initial meeting, we schedule another visit where the individual can join us for a time, perhaps several weekends, a week, or a month depending on the situation. If we all feel that it is the best placement we invite you to join the "pool", a group of people, who will be selected as space becomes available.  Selection from the pool depends upon the balance and harmony of the household and of the community as well as consideration of the person's present situation. 

Finances are as flexible as reality allows. Our basic cost per month is $1500
